I didn't level on beta because its like stabbing your dick with a knife if your a melee, the grind is nothing but unpleasant, your useless untill level 50, and you need a lot of gear to participate effectively in PVP on classic. I'm exaggerating, but not much, as a warrior I lost interest by level 16, i had gotten like 10 kills I only died once to a level 20 something druid and warrior when I was running to oasis on my then 14-15 ogre warrior, pretty pointless PVP there. If xp had been like 40x and 2x or 3x droprate as a melee then I've got more incentive, otherwise most people are just playing casters to do what they want.

*cough* Kunark beta never had more than 40 or 45 people on it (while p99 was up). At least the red server has more and they don't have a full expansion's worth of content to test.

completely missing the point, casters and other classes can have fun PVPing and such in beta alot more than a warrior. The whole point of a warrior is to get end game gear so you CAN COMPETE. Makes no sense to put that much effort in when not enough people are even playing to raid the planes and such.
