Cannot create character [Archive]

Hi team
I just installed the game etc and followed all the instructions, but whenever I create a character, it tries to load me into 'Mines of Gloomingdale' or some such, then the game crashes.

Why is this? Eager to play ><

Update: Now it doesn't even attempt to load a zone, just get an immediate You Have Been Disconnected message

Which client are you running? SoF or Titanium?

Are you trying to create a non-classic race/class combo?

Hasbinbad: Nope, was trying to create a classic combo.

Though I did realise I had SoF activated via steam, but I haven't downloaded it. Since this Titanium is a fresh install, it shouldn't affect it should it?

Possibly. Just install titanium to a non standard directory.
