In your Humble opinion...

Which class is the all around best duo with a wizard, both now, and in the near future of P1999.
i've no real reason for asking, other then satisfying my curiousity.
you see alot of duo' debate, however the wizard usually seems neglected.
are they really subdued to the slow solo grind to 50+?
and when they get there, GIMME SOME PERKS.
give me a balanced team of 2, or 'maybe' even 3, that can op everything if your option seem exhausted.

p.s, first thoughts came to my mind were Enc/Dru, no clue why.
just seems fitting in many different scenarios,
however, it doesnt seem as balanced as i'm looking for.
i figure the Enchanter/Wizzy combo would be able to take any spot in nearly any indoor zone/dungeon.
but the Druid/Wizzy seems to be an outdoor force to be reckoned with.

Enc/mage would probably be 1/2 depending on what you're doing

druid, bard would work well also

Well the wizard is pretty focused, so it's either single target dmg or aoe. If it's single target then a wizard compliments anyone who can already solo. You don't really need a duo partner for aoe/quadding. It's already easy enough, so another person isn't really going to do anything other than reduce your downtime slightly.

Wizard/necro don't really mesh too well in terms of killing styles, and the necro is going to substantially out regen the wizard.

Wizard/enc gives you the benefits of mana regen for some heavy nuking on both parties end, also fear kiting and other things that neither can do alone very well.

Wizard/mage makes it easy to outdamage the pet without drawing aggro and giving your duo a built in tank with the 2 best nuking classes in game.

Wizard/bard is excellent mana regen, and bard dots + wizard nukes on rooted/feared mobs.

Wizard druid is 1.5 wizards with some heals in case you get hurt.

Like you said, fear kiting is great with a wizard on the team. And a good necro is going to keep the wizard's mana up.

Shaman - sow, malo, pet, heals, and spot tank. And would better allow you to add a third or fourth person.

i would say wiz necro would be the best but wiz/shaman might be good too
