Shining star of light
I was doing the shining star of light quest (Cure for Lempeck Hargrin) and a quest NPC ate my turn in and turned hostile.
This is mentioned in the wiki for project 1999 here but I did not get the Scythe return from this npc. My faction was high so I do not think that was an issue. If possible, I would like to be granted the return item so I can continue this quest, or to be given the potion that I gave him so I can complete this quest at a later date when it is fixed. Here is a screenshot that I collected after the quest failed

This doesn't seem like a bug report. Petition more like.
Anyway, seems to me working as intended. In this quest time is sensitive. Without more information to work with I will only say this: turning in the elixir after a particular time causes him to become hostile. Judging from your ss I would have to guess you turned it in after dark.... Just FYI the more detailed and researched your post is the better response you will receive from those who can actually do anything. | ||

This is not a bug.
This quest is similar to the regurgitonic quest in that you can get a "bad" potion. You have to do the quest again and this time hope the priest makes you the right potion to cure the NPC. I've done this quest on a live server and experienced the same thing. It is working as intended. | ||

Oooh cool. Had this happen to me on live also and a guildie helped me out, and told me it happened because I turned it in at night.. As his "disease" is apparently lycanthropy. I did my next turn in during daylight and was successful. I had heard of the 2 different elixirs but assumed it was the day/night thing. Nice to know, Ty SD

TTT.
I was doing this quest on my start from scratch cleric and Astaed ate my honeyjum. I was under the impression that anyone could do the quest, but he said I didn't have the faction for it. Is he on the priests of life faction, if so, would indifferent do the trick? He is apprehensive at the moment. | ||

i did this quest on my pally Lauretta before i rerolled her
ya the 2 factors for f*cking it up are day/night and the priest making the right potion. all in alll it was pretty damn difficult if your not lucky but worthwile. the rerolled lauretta still has the SSoL and shes lvl 24ish | ||
