Spells: Benevolence causing massive agro

Forgive me for not checking to see if any change has been made to Alliance but I recently tried using the upgrade, Benevolence (on a brownie merchant that was dubious to me).

So I get the message %t looks friendly followed by a bunch of red numbers and a message saying that I have been slain by %t (and all her little buddies).

I liked it better when the Alliance spell line simply wouldn't land on anything.
Is this a cruel joke? And any chance I can get GM rez?

After my corspe run from South Karana back to Lfay (didn't see the need to rebind on such a "safe trip" I dragged my body to the MM zone line.

(If there is no GM rez available I guess I will have to donate to a cleric kind enough to take a few moments of their time).

According to last time i casted it on a felwithe merchant, I def had to run to south felwithe to get that bitch off me

With charm and illusion borked, at least give us this.
