missing spell text

i can't see spell text for any of my spells. i get the name of the spell and the cast time and mana cost and that's it. there's no spell descriptions.

any ideas on what file(s) i'm missing?

weapons with procs don't have their spell text either.

Might want to check your filters to make sure they are being displayed, and also that they are going to an actual window.

Filters: EQ Button > Options > Filters Tab > (The rest should be just locating that which you are missing.



To make sure it's going to an actual window, right click on a chat window and look for the filters menu, there it will allow you to select what you are sending to that particular window. The menu you're looking for there is the Spells menu.

sorry i dont mean in chat.

i'm talking about like right clicking and holding a weapon or spell. when you bring up the tool tip window, there is no descriptive text explaining what the spell actually does.

That's working as intended, I'm afraid.

They didn't add spell effects to the item window until later.
http://lucy.alkabor.com has spells laid out like they were in classic with links to Allah for spell descriptions.

oh man really? i don't remember that at all. wow, well good to know.

i remember before when i played on 1999 they were in, must have had something wrong with my install when i was playing then.
