Default Newb question

Is this a pvp free for all, or are there factions?

If I'm a high elf magician and group with an iksar necro and cast an area of effect spell will the necros pet be hit, or does pvp 'turn off' when you are grouped?

I couldn't find a list of rules for the server. Thanks

Its free for all, everyone can kill everyone and everything damage related will damage everyone.

There are level limits though at first a 4 level range for PvP which opens up to an 8 level range by level 50.

Cool, so does grouping change anything or can I purposefully/accidentally kill my groupmates?
